Come Together Community Announces Transition to New Special Fund Under Zhuhai Mingzhu Charity Association
Come Together Community (CTC), the Zhuhai-based charity platform that has supported local children in need for over a decade, is pleased to announce an important new chapter in its journey. After successfully passing all audits and completing the 60-day public notification period, CTC is in the final administrative stages of closing its NGO registration and has formally opened a new special fund under the Zhuhai Mingzhu Charity Association.
The new fund is officially named “一起来爱心专项基金” in Chinese and will be known in English as the CTC Special Fund.
A Strategic Step for Long-Term Sustainability
This structural change is designed to make CTC more sustainable long into the future, while preserving the spirit, culture, and independence that have defined Come Together since its founding in 2011.
Under the new framework:
- CTC operates as an official special fund rather than just a social unit.
- Donors can now receive official Charity Fapiao (charitable tax receipts) for the first time in CTC’s 15-year history, making company donations tax deductible under applicable regulations.
- CTC maintains operational independence in terms of project selection, fundraising initiatives, and community events, while benefiting from the institutional support and compliance framework of Zhuhai Mingzhu Charity Association.
- The CTC team retains full access to the financials of the fund and will continue its longstanding tradition of transparency and public reporting.
Over the years, CTC and its partners have raised over USD 450,000 (RMB 3 Million) in donations for local children’s projects, always with a clear focus on openness, accountability, and impact on the ground. The new structure is intended to strengthen, not change, that core commitment.
Partnership with Zhuhai Mingzhu Charity Association
In preparing this transition, CTC Co-Founders: Chairman Mark Clayton and Legal Representative Sunny Sui met several times with President Wang of Zhuhai Mingzhu Charity Association to carefully design the setup of the new fund.
President Wang and his team have been incredibly supportive throughout the process, providing guidance on regulatory requirements and practical mechanisms to protect donors, beneficiaries, and volunteers alike. CTC wishes to sincerely thank President Wang and Zhuhai Mingzhu Charity Association for their trust and partnership in enabling this next chapter.

What This Means for Donors & Partners
For existing and future sponsors, this new setup brings several concrete advantages:
- Charity Fapiao: Donations to the CTC Special Fund can now be matched with official Charity Fapiao, making corporate giving more attractive and aligned with internal finance and tax policies.
- Clear Banking Structure: All donations will go directly into the CTC Special Fund sub-account under Zhuhai Mingzhu Charity Association, ensuring clarity and traceability.
- Updated Agreements: A new Sponsorship Agreement has been issued for all partners to use going forward, reflecting the new legal structure and fund details.
- Continued Transparency: CTC will continue to publish annual project and financial reports, allowing sponsors, partners, and individual donors to see clearly how their contributions are being used.
CTC will share updated project reports, including details of how donations have been used over the past year, as part of its ongoing commitment to accountability.
A New Chapter, Same Heart
Come Together Community began as a small, music-led charity initiative in Zhuhai and has grown into a respected platform recognised for its social impact, including international recognition such as the UN Social Impact Award for Community and Culture.
With the creation of the CTC Special Fund (一起来爱心专项基金) under Zhuhai Mingzhu Charity Association, CTC is reaffirming its mission: uniting local and international communities, businesses, schools, and volunteers to support children who need it most.
The name on the registration may be changing, but the heart of CTC remains exactly the same.
